Over the last 25 years, I have held just four jobs covering the industries within which I provide services. Along with working full-time, I also volunteered with the Marine Corps as a volunteer coordinator. During this time, I was recommended for and completed the Leader Education Seminar as well as nominated for Volunteer of the Year. As a volunteer, I was awarded the Presidential Volunteer Service Award and Outstanding Volunteer Award; and also was the recipient of various Certificates and Letters of Appreciation.
While working as a Marketing Assistant, I provided ads in publications such as SkyMall and Dive Training Magazine. Prior, as an Executive Assistant, I administered vocational testing and performed extensive report writing to be filed and used in dissolution matters in the family court system. More recently, I stepped into the travel industry and specialized in cultural travel to Cuba. In that position, I wore many hats including, and not limited to: customer service, marketing, operations, accounting, billing, IT, web design, branding, office management, project management, social media and more. Currently, I'm contracted as the Grants Administrator for a state humanities council. Within this role, I've managed 100+ active grants to ensure timely reporting, payments, and compliance within the funding guidelines.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Web & Graphic Design along with membership affiliations with the following organizations: American Institute of Graphic Arts, World Organization of Webmasters, Wellness Tourism Association, Cruise Lines International, American Society of Travel Advisors, Pacific Asia Travel Association, and The Travel Institute as a Certified Travel Advisor and Wellness Travel Specialist.
